One of the great things about doing conventions is meeting readers and hearing what they like (or don’t). Delta Dawn is too new for me to run into many readers, so I’m enjoying my new site’s ability to take comments. As a writer, you work to a void. Then my editor at goes on to manage the comic process, and it all becomes technical. It’s months before my words hit your screens, and I’ve been worrying about bottles and balloon placement, not to mention the publisher’s hat I wear for site production, online promotion, reviewers, prepping print process, doing unrelated cards, and (gosh) other projects. I’m far removed from the comic by the time you read it. Your reactions bring it back to life and make it feel less clinical.
