Well, unless you’re politically connected to the party that the media likes… then you can usually get away with stuff, but it’s harder if you’re white. It’s been that way for 20+ years now… that would be the entire life (give or take) of the speaker making the claim.

Of course, MAKING claims like that is part of what makes things the way they are, so I don’t expect those kinds of claims to line up with reality any time soon… so good job on the realism, I suppose. Stupid realism.
