Oh, I don’t dislike the character at all, just pointing out that that particular line of reasoning is BS, and someone should call her on it – make her be honest.

And “I’ll let the system make the choice, right or wrong, because I don’t trust myself” is a legitimate place to stand, so I’m not faulting her for it… she’s just taking the easy way out on it, right here.

Showing conflicting views of the same “truth” is what I find interesting.I wanted Force to be dangerously strong, but terrified of it, subverting the trope of power equals confidence.

“The system” is not remotely perfect, and it’s even worse when the problem person has a significant influence on the system itself.

Authorization does not remotely change the morality, either way, it just outsources who makes the choice.
